B.C.- Zephaniah means “hidden of the Lord”
Day
of the Lord-
a future period of time where God will judge the world in undiluted wrath
(Rev 14:10, 15:1) with heat and fire (2 Peter 3:7-10). It is seven years (Daniel 9:24-27; Revelation
6-19) destined to test those on earth (Rev 3:10).
POINT
1- The God
of all the earth will judge all NATIONS
A. The judgment of the nations
will be for reproaching God’s PEOPLE
(Zeph 2:8, 10; Genesis
12:3; Matthew 25:31-46; Revelation 3:9)
B. The judgment of the nations
will be for pride and ARROGANCE
(2:10; Proverbs 6:17; Ezekiel 28:17; 1 Timothy 3:6)
C. The judgment of the nations
will be for FALSE WORSHIP
(Zeph 2:11; Acts 4:12; Isa 43:10; 1 John 2:23; John 3:36, 13:20, 14:6)
“that all should honor the
Son just as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor
the Father who sent Him.” John 5:23
D. The judgment of the nations
will be for vain SELF-WORSHIP
(Zeph 2:15; Satan’s fall- Isa 4:12-16; Ezekiel 28:12-19; 2 Thes 2:3-12)
Going God wants you to
recognize and experience His Holiness!
