POINT 1- The post-flood world begins with the TENACITY of sin.

Tenacious- persistent, stubborn, characterized by a firm hold, not ezly pulled apart                                                  

A.   The world is populated ONLY by the three sons of NOAH

 

B.    Noah succumbed in his old age and allowed sin to bring him to SHAME

 

C.   Ham succumbed in his young age and through his sin was EXPOSED

 

D.   Shem and Japheth resisted sins’ temptation and demonstrated VICTORY

 

 

Going          God desires for you to take steps to gain victory over the tenacity of sin.

“O wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death?  I thank God -- through Jesus Christ our Lord!”  Romans 7:24-25

A. The consequences of Ham’s disobedience affected his DESCENDANTS

 

B. The consequences of Shem and Japheth’s obedience brought blessings.

 

C. The consequence of our sin has brought about the universal punishment of death.

 

Going          God wants you to know that He cares about whether we are obedient.
