1 Samuel 1:1-28
Millions of Mothers Killing their children through Abortions each Year
25% + illegitimate births; Women abandoning children, ABUSING kids.
W.L. Caldwell said in 1928, "No nation is greater than its mothers, for they are the makers of men."
POINT 1- Hannah demonstrated a right relationship with her HUSBAND.
A. Her relationship with Elkanah involved worshiping TOGETHER V.3-4
B. Their relationship with on another was based on mutual LOVE. V. 5
Children learn from their parents, especially mothers. Children are learning about relationships, virtue, sin, love, forgiveness, sympathy, anger, bitterness, compassion, honesty, integrity… by what they observe.
But I want you to know that the head of every man is Christ, the head of woman is her husband, and the head of Christ is God. 1 Corinthians 11:3
POINT 2- Hannah demonstrated a right relationship with HEAVEN
A. She had a passion for fulfilling God’s will for WOMEN V. 7
B. She was woman who was committed to PRAYER Vv. 9-10
C. Hannah was a woman who kept her PROMISES. V. 11
D. Even though misjudged, she was a woman of VIRTUE. Vv. 14-16
E. After praying, Hannah was a woman of patient FAITH. V. 18
F. God answered and she responded with GRATITUDE Vv. 2:1-10
POINT 3- Hannah demonstrated a right relationship with HOME
A. Hannah fulfilled her divine call of being a HOMEMAKER Vv. 21-22
B. Hannah kept her vow and kept the proper PERSPECTIVE Vv. 24-28
“that they admonish the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, to be discreet, chaste, homemakers, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be blasphemed.” Titus 2:4-5
Men, do you have a godly wife? REJOICE!
Teens, do you have a godly mother? Be thankful, be obedient, honor them.
The power of a godly woman. Hannah helped change the state of a nation!
