POINT 1- The REVEALING of the Mystery
A. The mystery was revealed to Paul, a PRISONER of Jesus.
Paul was bound to Jesus (Word). Do we submit to God’s Word or twist it to our own liking… ANGER (Mt. 5:22)… HOMO… JUDGE NOT…
B. The mystery of ONE BODY was never before revealed.
Began in Gen. 12 realized in ACTS 10
C. The mystery was revealed by the power of the HOLY SPIRIT
PRISON EPISTLES-- Do we accept God’s plan or are we victims?
“Do all things without complaining and arguing” Phil 2:14
But I want you to know, that the things which happened to me have actually turned out for the furtherance of the gospel, so that it has become evident to the whole palace guard and to all the rest, that my chains are in Christ.” Phil 1:12-13
POINT 2- The Eternal PURPOSE of the Mystery
A. The purpose is to show the grace of the mystery. Paul considered himself to be the LEAST of all believers.
Do you want to be used by God? Do you feel worthy?
B. The purpose is to show how God outsmarted the ENEMY.
“Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.” Colossians 2:15
C. The purpose is to show we have BOLDNESS in our access.
“You don’t have because you don’t ask.” James 4:2 PREACH IT!
God wants you winning in life! J Don’t be content with your relationship with God. Keep pursuing Him to draw ever closer.
POINT 3- The APPRECIATION of the Mystery
A. Paul is overwhelmed and prays for their STRENGTH
B. Paul prays for the Messiah to DWELL in them being rooted in love.
C. Paul pray for them to COMPREHEND Jesus’ love.
D. Paul asks that we are filled with the FULLNESS of God.
“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.” Ephesians 3:20-21
