“These were more open-minded (noble) than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so.” Acts 17:11
POINT 1- The WHAT of being Chosen (Ephesians 1:4a)
2 Pet 1:10
A. To be chosen is to be elected and destined for SALVATION.
(i) God’s choice of
(ii) God’s choice of the Levites was a vocational election (1 Chon. 15:2).
(iii) Peter wrote his first epistle those who were the elect (1 Pet. 1:2)
(iv) The Tribulation will be shortened for the sake of the elect (Mt. 24:22).
(v) At the end of the Trib. the Angels will gather the elect (Mt. 24:31)
(vi) God is always hearing the prayers of the elect (Luke 18:7).
(vii) No one can ever bring an accusation against God’s elect (Rom. 8:31).
(viii) God has given the elect salvation and blinded
others (
(ix) God calls the elect holy and beloved (Col. 3:12).
(x) The elect are guaranteed to go to heaven (Rom. 8:29-30; John 6:44).
“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this not of yourselves; it is the gift of God; not of anything we have done, lest anyone should brag” Eph. 2:8-9

POINT 2- The WHEN of being Chosen (Ephesians 1:4b)
A. Our election was done before the foundation of the WORLD.
(i) We are given the grace to be saved before time began (2 Timothy 1:9).
(ii) The kingdom was prepared from foundation of world (Matt. 25:34).
(iii) We were chosen from the beginning for salvation (2 Thess. 2:13).
(iv) Our names were written in Lamb’s book of life before the foundation of the world (Revelation 17:8).
POINT 3- The WHY of being Chosen (Ephesians 1:4c-6) .
A. God has chosen us for the ultimate purpose of being HOLY (Eph. 1:4c; Romans 8:29)
B. God has predestined us to be a part of His FAMILY (Eph. 1:5)
C. God chooses some for salvation to show His GRACE (Eph. 1:6).
LUKE 4- JESUS GOT MOBBED FOR TEACHING ON ELECTION….
How doe we know we are chosen? Is the Father drawing you (John 6:44)? Rejoice!
Jesus will not reject you (John 6:37)!!
Why evangelize? Obedience and to partner with God (1 Corinthians 1:21; 3:6-7).
2 Tim. 2:10 God wants to use us to save the other Elect!
